I am probably one of the most experienced medical directors of reproductive health in North America.  For the past 20 years I have been working to make abortions easily accessible to women.  When I started providing abortions very few doctors would provide these services.  I set up a network of clinics so that women would have the highest standard of medical care when they chose to end their pregnancies. 

I am now at the forefront of trying to make early abortion services available in mainstream medical settings.  Early abortion has advanced.  We now have the Abortion Pill, and the Aspiration Procedure – simple and safe methods that can be provided in regular doctor’s offices. It is my hope that in the future, early abortion will no longer be a segregated service offered only in clinics.  I am part of a group of family doctors who are working to make early abortion as accessible as any other medical care. I have trained dozens of doctors to offer these methods in their private family practices.
